Last year, Izzy’s dedicated a Giving Tree to St. Ann’s Home in Methuen MA – a residential treatment center and special education school. We had such a great turnout and are so grateful to our wonderful customers for helping us give something special to the residents at the home, we are bringing the Tree back for another holiday season.
Children go to St. Ann’s with a background of emotional and behavioral disabilities or a learning disability. The staff takes care of kids year-round with psychiatric and medical treatment, and with caring attitudes towards each student.
There are over 150 residential students at St. Ann’s – many of whom are without families. The home tries to provide something under the tree for each child, but as you can imagine, that goal can’t always be attained by a non-profit group. So – we would like to help them have gifts for their children this year, and we’re asking for your help, too.
We’ve created our special kind of Izzy’s tree and we’ve hung tags with the names with gift requests on the branches. Just one present can make a child’s Christmas special, and with the support of their mentors and staff in the program, they can celebrate with a smile.
We ask that the unwrapped gift and it’s original tag be dropped off to Izzy’s by December 15th.
